School Board Director My-Linh Thai stepped down from her position on the Board on Nov. 21. The Bellevue School Board comprises five Board Directors who each reside in one of five different director district areas of our community. The vacant Board Director position is for Director District 5.
Up to five applicants will be invited for interviews with the board. The interviews are required and will be held Jan. 22 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Wilburton Instructional Service Center (WISC) in the Rainier Room. Candidates will be notified of their interview time slot no later than Friday, Jan. 18. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the board may schedule interviews at other times, but will attempt to avoid doing so. In any case, all times and dates of interviews will be posted publicly according to the rules of special meetings.
The board will convene into executive session following the interviews. The board will take a public vote following deliberation.
