Bellevue School District Board of Directors Participation in the 2022 Washington State School Directors Association (WSSDA) Annual Conference From November 16 to 19, 2022, some or all members of the Bellevue District Board of Directors and its Superintendent will be attending the 2022 Washington State School Directors Association (WSSDA) Annual Conference in Spokane, Washington.
The WSSDA Conference is an annual event for school directors, student board representatives, and superintendents state-wide and is an opportunity for the same to learn from peers, both formally and informally. Washington’s Open Public Meetings Act expressly permits the members of the governing bodies such as school boards to travel together or engage in other activities, such as attending social functions, so long as they do not act while doing the same. RCW 42.30.070. While members of Bellevue District Board of Directors will be attending the WSSDA Annual Conference, they will not be meeting as a Board during the same and will be taking no action during their participation in the WSSDA Annual Conference. To the extent that three or more Board Directors attend the same general meetings or break out sessions, they will refrain from discussing business and making decisions or otherwise acting on behalf of the District as its Board during this event.
