All Bellevue schools will be open Friday, December 2. All programs will be in operation as regularly scheduled, including nutrition and transportation services.

Academics

  • Students are reminded about the following rules for attendance:
    • Sign in if you are late to first or are coming back from an appointment, even if it is passing period.
    • Sign out for any time of day before you leave campus for an appointment.

Activities

  • Seniors, graduation materials are located under the trophy case in the main office. Jostens will be here on Thursday and Friday to collect your completed packets and answer any questions you might have.
  • It’s time for the Class of 2016 to nominate the best and most likely. Go to com/ihsseniornoms to nominate your classmates for this year’s senior superlatives.  Nominations close on Friday, November 13th.

The yearbook has extended the deadline for Senior pics and quotes until Friday, November 13th.  All seniors received a status update from the yearbook last week. Email your photos and quotes to Mrs. Bennett at bennettm@bsd405.org.

  • Comedy, Drama, a knife, a mysteries brunette, a tropical storm. Yes that’s right “What Happened While the Lights?”.  Find at this Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 in the Interlake Theatre.  Tickets are sold at lunch and at the door the night of performances.
  • Come see the new jewelry made by the Evergreen Transition in the commons today during lunch.
  • Model UN is meeting Friday, at 3:05, in Ms. Hope’s room, room 2702. We will be eating food and working on position papers, which are due Friday for people attending PACMUN.

  • Anyone interested in wrestling please come to a short meeting tomorrow after school in the weight room.
  • Winter Sports Registration will close this Friday for Gymnastics and November 13th for all other winter sports. You will not be able to attend practice the same day as registration after that. Impact testing info is on the sports website.

Community Service and Career Opportunities and Scholarships

  • College Visits: Today, Merrimack College, UW, UW Bothell, and Salve Regina University will be here both lunches. Tomorrow, Evergreen State College will be here after school.
  • Festival of Trees, benefiting Seattle Childrens Hospital, is in need of volunteers. Make cookies, help with the boutique, support the Kids Corner, assist with Santa photos, make ornaments with children, or help track sales. Stop by the Career Center for details and many more community service ideas!
  • Interested in exploring the sound design industry? This Saturday, DigiPen is offering a Sound Design Workshop for students interested in audio programming, creating or composing music, and/or working with music and sound professionally. The workshop is only $10 and no experience with music or sound design is required! Stop by the Career Center for details on this and other Career related opportunities.
