  • Open Forum meets today, Thursday December 8th  in Mr. Oliveira’s room, 2709.  Now that Amazon has opened the first Amazon Go store how should policy combat the possibility of stores become cashier-less    Hope to see you there.
  • The energy competition has been extended to tomorrow. The Seniors have surged in the competition, trailed by the Juniors, with the Sophomores and Freshman tied for last. It’s not too late to cast your vote at www.bsdenergysmart.com

  • Interlake Comedy Troupe – Try-outs for the Interlake Skit Comedy Troupe are this Thursday from 3:45-5:15 in the Theatre.  Pick up information in front of the Theatre. See Mr. Richards if you have any questions.
  • Have you ever wondered how Siri worked? Or how self-driving cars are able to navigate on their own? Come to the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Club’s informational meeting! It will be held Tuesday, December 13th at 7:50 AM. Cookies and refreshments will be provided as we introduce the fun projects we’ll be doing throughout the year to explore the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence!
  • Help support the education of orphans of the Helping Hands charity through Spreducate’s FALL FUNDRAISERBuy a bracelet and book a henna application @ lunch!   • Want to donate and do something good for the holidays? Then please donate gently used toys (for all genders and ages) in the front office! All donations will go to Mary’s Place in Seattle which is an organization dedicated to helping homeless women and children. Every child deserves a toy during the holiday season so please donate and help deliver cheer to someone else!

Class Announcements

  • Seniors, many college application deadlines including the UW Seattle are approaching. College Corps is in the Library every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 – 4:30, and Wednesday 1:00 – 2:30 to help you. Just look for the table with the College Corps sign on it. For those of you with an open 7th  ( or 6th on Wednesdays) College Corps begins during class time – a great opportunity to utilize your time! Any questions contact Ms. Scott – scottar@bsd405.org.

Career Counseling

  • Youth Link University is a 6-month long youth business leadership course designed to engage students in hands-on soft skill development in the area of business planning, project management, business finance, product development, and marketing.  The courses are taught and mentored by business professionals experts in their field from top companies like Microsoft, Expedia, Boeing, Nokia, and many more!  Students will work in teams to develop their business concept and present a final business project!    Classes are every Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Bellevue City Hall (except for holidays).  For more info or questions about the course, please contact  Mrs. Stockdale before the break.
