It is that time of year where we start to think about graduation and the many activities that go along with it. Please take a look at the following information in regards to your students graduation. Senior Timeline
Friday, April 19: Distribution of Graduation Announcements and Caps and Gowns
Announcements will be distributed on Friday, April 19 during lunch. If seniors are unable to pick up their announcements on this date, they will be available from Esther Tate in the Accountant’s Office.
Wednesday, May 1: Deadline to enter hours in X2Vol to be recognized for 100+ hours of community service.
Hours entered after May 1 will not be recognized at Graduation or Senior Recognition.

Applications for Musical Performance for Class of 2024 Graduation Ceremony/Senior Recognition Microsoft Forms application due by 11:00pm. Look for an email from Mrs. Kearns.
Tuesday, May 7: Auditions for Musical Performances for Class of 2024 Graduation Ceremony/Senior Recognition
After school 3:30pm. Must have submitted application by May 1st.
Tuesday, May 28: Honor Cord Purchase and Distribution
Honor cords can be purchased for $7.25 before school, at lunch or after school at the Accountant’s office. Students will receive their honor cords at the time of purchase.
White– 100+ hours of Community Service – Cut off to be eligible for cord is May 1.
Silver– Associate of Arts (AA) Degree earned from Bellevue College (Running Start Students)
Light Blue- AP Scholar
Navy Blue– IB Diploma (Earned/Candidate)
Gold– 3.5+ Cumulative GPA
Wednesday, June 5: Yearbook Distribution in the Commons after school *Date is tentative
June 3-6: Senior Finals during regularly scheduled periods
Saturday, June 8: Senior Prom- Pacific Science Center, Seattle, WA 7:00-11:00 pm

Monday, June 10: Senior Awards Assembly more details to come as we get closer

Tuesday, June 11: Last full day for seniors
AM- Senior Breakfast at 8:30
Required Graduation Practice at 9:00 am at Interlake High School Main Gym.

Wednesday, June 12: Commencement at 12:30 pm @ at Alaska Airlines Arena at UW Edmundson Pavilion.
Graduates must arrive at 11:45 am to line up for the ceremony. Doors open for families and friends at 12:00 pm.
Diplomas will be mailed home with report cards and transcripts at the end of June.
Senior Party the evening following commencement ceremony, sponsored by PTSA. The Senior Party is coordinated by Class of 2024 parent volunteers of the Interlake High School Parent Teacher Student Association (IHS PTSA) and is a safe and sane, fun and memorable event. This supervised all-night party is drug and alcohol-free, and includes food, beverages, exciting venues, entertainment, and transportation. Security and chaperones are present all evening. Students are taken from Interlake HS the evening of graduation for an overnight of fun with their classmates. The graduates are returned to Interlake High School the next morning.
Fines/Laptops: All fines must be paid in full, and laptops must be returned. Seniors will not be able to participate in the senior breakfast or receive Graduation tickets until all fines are paid and their laptop has been returned. A fine list will be posted outside the accountant’s office.
Graduation Tickets: Tickets are required to enter Alaska Airlines Arena. Each graduate will receive ten tickets (10). Tickets will be distributed following the Senior Breakfast on Tuesday, June 11. For additional tickets, you may work with other families who don’t need all ten tickets.
Parking: There are several pay lots on the UW campus near the Edmundson Pavilion. The suggested parking location is the E1 lot. Maps and directions will be provided in early June.
We are excited to use the Alaska Airlines Arena at Edmundson Pavilion for Interlake’s Graduation ceremony. The venue is designed for easy mobility, and there is ample space for wheelchairs as well as stroller parking. We have been asked to communicate a few restrictions. Balloons, noisemakers, glitter and confetti are not allowed. Families that bring balloons will be required to leave them with staff at the door. Animals are not allowed, with the exception of services animals. **NEW THIS YEAR – Alaska Airlines Arena does have a clear bag policy.
Cap & Gown
All seniors participating in commencement will need 4 items:
1. Cap 2. Gown 3. Stole 4. Tassel
This unit can be found on line 27 of the Josten’s order form . There are 3 ways to order – By phone at 1-800-567-8367, by mail, or online at the Jostens website here. If you already have a navy blue cap & gown, you can order the tassel and stole separately. Check out the website to see everything they offer.
