In order to support our 11th grade students with the college application process, International School will offer the SAT during the regular school day on Wednesday, March 22.  The school day SAT is only open to Juniors.  There will be no cost to Juniors taking the school day SAT on March 22.

All 11th grade students will be automatically registered to take the SAT on March 22nd unless they opt-out.  Juniors wanting to opt-out should notify Colleen Courtney prior to March 16th; these students will be expected to attend class as usual on March 22nd

If students are unsure if they need to take the SAT, they should consult with Colleen Courtney, the high school counselor. Below are some things to consider.

  • Students typically take the SAT in Spring of their 11th grade year and fall of their 12th grade year.
  • Qualifying SAT scores (Math- 430 and English- 410) will meet the Graduation Pathway requirement for graduation.
  • While some colleges and universities suspended their SAT and ACT testing requirement, many colleges and universities continue to require the SAT or ACT and/or allow students the opportunity to utilize these scores in the application review process.
