To all families of incoming 10th graders,

This message is a follow up to the April 18 communication regarding next year’s International School French Exchange program. Thank you for the enthusiastic emails and questions. For those unable to attend the presentation, I have included the slides from our interest meeting on May 2nd.

Briefly, the exchange takes places over two periods of time during the academic year: in December, when French students visit us, and in May, when our students travel to Paris and Nantes. This experience presents a chance to cultivate enduring friendships and immerse oneself in another culture. For further program details, please refer to the attached presentation.

Participation in the program is limited to 30 students and the application is open. You can access the application form via the following link.

The application deadline is Monday, May 13. On Tuesday, May 14, students will be selected through a lottery system, and families will be notified via email. The initial payment of $1800 is due by Friday, June 7.

Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
