As we get closer and closer to our first day of school, we would like to simply say – Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. We are so excited beyond words to have you join our community. We love 6th grade students because you all bring excitement and readiness to our school. We have so many fun and useful things planned to support your transition and we hope you can join us for all the events!

Please complete the survey that was sent on Thursday August 27th! Deadline is Tuesday September 1st at 12pm.

The purpose of this survey is to match you with your high school buddy who will serve as your guide and mentor throughout the school year. This program is run through our Roots and Shoots club. 6th grade students will be matched up with a high school buddy and will also be part of a 6th grade team. Throughout the year, we will have activities for 6th grade students and their buddies along with some friendly team competition. Our goal is for our 6th grade students to build community, get to know one another, gain support from an “experienced” student, and most importantly, have fun. Please complete the survey by Tuesday September 1st at 12pm. After that time, the Roots and Shoots Advisor and the middle school counselor will work together on matching students. Our 6th Grade Retreat (the first official kickoff event for our buddies) will be on Wednesday September 9th at 11am. Again, please complete the survey!
