Lake Hills Elementary Capacitación requerida: información para voluntarios
Hello Jaguars Families,
We are excited to announce the dates and times we will be holding the required volunteer training this fall. The training takes approximately 30-45 minutes, and you need only take it once while your child is in Bellevue. However, please note that you must also submit a volunteer application and have a background check every 3 years (information and links below).
Below are the list of dates and times. All trainings will be held in our Family Connections Center, room 102.

Hello Jaguar Families,
We have been receiving inquiries regarding how and when the community might be able to volunteer inside the school building this year and we are excited to welcome back volunteers and visitors! The school board policy and accompanying school district procedure regarding school volunteers remains in effect. That policy and procedure are linked here: Policy 5630 and Procedure 5630P – Volunteers. They include requirements such as a background check every three years. More information, as well as a link to complete and submit the application and background check, can be found on this page of the BSD website: https://bsd405.org/get-involved/volunteer/.
A few things to note:
- Background checks are required of all adults (staff and volunteers) who work with our students
- Background checks are part of the online volunteer process/application
- Results can take a couple weeks
- You will be notified of your background check results by email
- Background check results must be verified in the school office before you can begin volunteering
- Once completed, the background check is valid for three years
We also have new visitor and volunteer guidance from the district as of March 12th, 2022 due to the changes at the state and King County level. You can review the new visitor and volunteer guidance by clicking on the embedded link. This new guidance for volunteers includes requirements such as documentation/proof of vaccination. Our front office will be collecting and tracking the proof of vaccination for volunteers including making a photo copy of proof of vaccination. Please note that per the visitor and volunteer guidance from BSD all volunteers will be required to sign in on our LobbyGuard system in the front office before every visit, providing contact information in the form of email and a phone number in the event that contact tracing is needed.
Additionally, once a month we will be offering a Bellevue School District required volunteer training. This training is approximately 45 minutes and need only be taken once in order to volunteer. The training requirement began during the 2019-2022 school year. If you attended that training you will not need to attend again unless you would like to. We will begin advertising and offering these trainings soon so be on the lookout for more information to be shared in upcoming emails and at Curriculum Night in October.

Si asistió a esa capacitación, no necesitará asistir nuevamente a menos que desee hacerlo.
