Bus Drop-Off & Loading

The bus lane is only for Bellevue School District buses and daycare provider vans.  The small parking lot adjacent to the bus lane cannot be used for student drop-off/pick-up with the exception of parents using the two handicapped parking spaces.  At the end of the day, students line up at the designated location for their bus and await the driver’s directions to begin seating.  Daycare provider buses are behind the school buses.

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up

To prevent back-ups onto 119th Ave SE, student drop-off traffic creates an “S” through the parking*.   During drop-off and pick-up time all traffic will exit through the back and will not double back through the parking lot to 119th Ave SE.

Please remember to pull forward as indicated by crossing guards as student pick-up does not begin until after you have moved past the crosswalk.  Additionally, please park only in designated parking spaces to ensure the continual flow of traffic.

Note that it is not permissible to drop students off along streets unless parked in a legal, public parking spot.  Stopping on a street to let students out on a sidewalk is dangerous and can be ticketed by the Bellevue Police Department and/or crossing guards.

As always, please be watchful of and respectful to our crossing guards, both student and staff, as they are trying to ensure that all students arrive home safely.

*Please note that the “S” traffic plan only applies between 7:30 and 8:10 and 2:00-2:40.  At all other times of the day, traffic should flow in both directions in each aisle using the exit that is most convenient.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
