May 2nd & 3rd, Seattle Center Exhibition Hall

Vegfest is coming up on May 2nd & 3rd!   Vegetarians of Washington is a local volunteer-based non-profit organization. We organize the biggest Vegetarian food festival in the country, Vegfest, a healthy vegetarian food festival at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, on Mercer Street.  We’ll be handing out hundreds of free food samples – there’s over 500 different kinds to try.  We will have doctors and dietitians speaking on nutrition topics, chefs cooking demonstrations, authors signing books and a special kids program.  For more information about the event, visit www.seattlevegfest.org

To run this event takes hundreds of volunteers, and every year we have many student volunteers helping us. You don’t need to be a vegetarian to volunteer! I would like to invite you to volunteer with us for the weekend, or some portion of it.  It is a great way to help the community learn about healthy eating, and to fulfill any community service requirements you may have.  To show our appreciation, all volunteers who help for 4 hours or more will receive:

  • a free Vegfest 2020 t-shirt
  • free admission to the event on Saturday or Sunday
  • satisfaction in helping people experience vegetarian food and learn about its benefits
  • a whole lot of fun.

All you need to do to volunteer is to visit our Volunteer Page, choose the job and shift(s) which work best for you, and complete the volunteer application form.  You can call 206 706 2635 for more information.
