If your student misses our announcements in student Teams on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, they do not know about upcoming schedule changes, events, opportunities, etc. More importantly, they won’t feel a part of our community at Newport.

Help your student develop a consistent habit of checking for news every day. Check their school email account in Outlook and check the Student Team in Microsoft Teams. Most Clubs also communicate through Teams as well as Instagram.

A great way to develop this habit is to make it part of something else that always happens every day, such as brushing teeth.

You can also help your student use Notifications for Outlook and Teams. Find instructions on changing these settings here or ask our Tech Desk for help.
