Teen Link provides peer emotional support to teens throughout the state of Washington, and all volunteers must reside within the state of Washington. We have a variety of opportunities to volunteer with us, which will be described below!
All volunteer positions require a minimum 6-month commitment.
YOUTH CRISIS SPECIALIST (Ages 15-20)
Youth Crisis Specialists are teens who receive an extensive training in active listening and emotional deescalation, after which they provide peer-to-peer emotional support to other teens over the phone, via text, or through chats. Youth Crisis Specialists must have the ability to regularly commute to Renton, WA in order to be considered.
*As of 02/28/23, we are at-capacity for Youth Crisis Specialists. If you select this option below, we will place you on a waitlist to be considered for our next available training (likely in the summer of 2023).
YOUTH CRISIS MENTOR (Ages 21+)
Youth Crisis Mentors are adults who receive the same extensive training in active listening and emotional deescalation that our teens do, after which they provide mentorship, guidance, and support to teens while they take calls, texts, and chats. Youth Crisis Mentors must have the ability to regularly commute to Renton, WA in order to be considered.

YOUTH OUTREACH SPECIALIST (Ages 13-20)
Youth Outreach Specialists are tasked with engaging the community to build connections with schools and other organizations and spreading awareness of Teen Link as well as the importance of youth mental health.
