Yearbook application forms are available in the office or you can pick one up from Mrs. Kennedy in room 245. Yearbook spots are a raffle and the application is due by today, September 13th. Our first meeting will be Friday, September 14th 4pm-4:45pm in Mrs. Kennedy’s class, room 245. Come be a part of documenting school memories!

Calling all students interested in being in the Robotics club. If you are interested in the challenge of designing, building, programming and competing with robots, then this club is for you. You must be able to meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:30 every week, as well as be available to compete in competitions on Saturdays. If interested, fill out an application form (found in the office or get one from Mr. Westerside) and take it home and have your parents read and sign it. Then place it in the box in the office by Friday Sept 14th at 4pm. If you have any questions, talk to Mr. Westerside.

Attention 8th grade WEB Leaders, this is a reminder that there is a WEB Leader meeting this Thursday, September 13th (“today” for 9/13’s announcement) from 3:30-4:45 in the Dance Studio.  Don’t forget to wear your WEB shirt!  Mrs. B., Ms. Farkas and Mr. Yancey are excited to see you all there!

Rocketry 101 is starting! Are you interested in learning how to build and fly your own rocket? Rocketry 101 is also a prerequisite for Rocketry 201(spring) and the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC). This year Rocketry 101 will be on Thursdays beginning September 27 from 4:00 to 4:45 in room 107. At Odle we conduct a lottery as we have such a strong interest in Rocketry 101. If you want to join, please fill out a lottery slip in the Odle office and put it in the box! Names will be drawn on September 21 and students will be notified the following Monday. Do you like working with the student body? Do you enjoy public speaking and planning activities? Then run for Publicist Commissioner! Being the Publicist Commissioner will help you the bridge between students and ASB. Applications are available and are due Monday, September 17th by 4pm, so be sure to complete your applications and turn them into the office!

Odle Spirit Wear is back! Order forms are in the main office or can be done online. We need all orders by October 5th. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity!

Melee Mondays are returning this Monday, Sept 17 – but now in the mornings! Every Monday morning from 8 to 8:30am the giant TV in room 207 will be buzzing and Super Smash Bros. Melee will be playing. If you play any of the Super Smash Bros games, you are welcome. If you have ever wanted to learn how to play a Smash bros game, you are welcome. If you want to get beat in a video game by a teacher, Ms. Jelacic looks forward to playing with you. That’s room 207 with Ms Jelacic, 8 to 8:30am, every Monday. And remember: Spam is a food, not a strategy.

If you are planning to run for ASB, the luncheons today and Friday have been moved to the stage classroom, and will no longer be in the library. You only have to go to one of the days, not both. SOAR is a student club that stands of: Students Organized Against Racism. SOAR supports conversations and work to learn more about race. If you have knowledge on this topic,  previous experiences dealing with race, or are interested in fighting racism, please join SOAR! It’s a place where you can be open and share your thoughts and ideas.  SOAR meets every Tuesday in Mrs. Sutton’s room (223) at 4:00 PM.
