Good Morning Vikings!

Today is Monday, October 22nd

Today is the first day of Unity Week! Unity Week is about celebrating kindness towards others. It’s about standing up to harassment and bullying and supporting each other. Today in your 6th period classes, you will be handed an orange paper slip to write something unique about yourself that makes you special. You will also notice that this week there are orange OARRS that will be passed out for being kind and showing compassion.  Wednesday is actual Unity Day. Please wear ORANGE on Wednesday to show that you stand for kindness and stand against bullying.

SOAR is a student club that stands of: Students Organized Against Racism. SOAR supports conversations and work to learn more about race. If you have knowledge on this topic,  previous experiences dealing with race, or are interested in fighting racism, please join SOAR! It’s a place where you can be open and share your thoughts and ideas.  SOAR meets every Tuesday in Mrs. Sutton’s room (223) at 4:00 PM.

PRIZES! VIDEO GAMES! CANDY! COSTUMES! Maybe some Fortnite dances?

These will be at the Spooky Bros Tournament happening THIS Friday starting at 4pm.

  • Sign-ups are still open for the Smash Bros Melee and Super Smash Flash tournaments.
  • All tournament participants must complete and submit a Grade Check form to Ms. Jelacic by Friday at 4pm.
  • The Video Game (and nerd) Costume contest is also still happening this Friday at 4pm in room 207 and is open to all who want to come, no sign ups required.
  • All participants in either the tournament or the costume contest will be entered for a chance to win prizes such as video game-related posters, stickers, lanyards, or fanart from Ms. Jelacic

So come play, hang, compete, and see a teacher dressed up as Crash Bandicoot at the Spooky Bros Tournament this Friday, Oct 26 at 4pm.

Please remember if your computer is not working for whatever reason, Mr. Tripp is available to help you only during lunch and before school in the library. Please do not take your computer to him at other times, as you will be sent back to class. If you have a problem in class, please look on with a friend or get a print-out from your teacher.

Still trying to get that 4.0? The end of the quarter is November 2nd, so make sure to talk to teachers and check synergy to make sure you can achieve your goals. Good Job Vikings!

Thank you to all the students who have submitted their #needtoknow projects! Remember, you still have until the end of the day today to drop your project off in the library or email it to Ms. Lizotte.

Science Bowl Club starts Monday, October 29th 4pm-4:45pm in room 245 with Mrs. Kennedy. Sign up sheet is in the office.

Hey Odle! We hope you are well on your way in selling with this year’s fundraiser.  Please note there was an error in the payment details.  Anyone writing a check needs to make it out to Odle ASB, not to PTSA.  Thank you! Just a reminder that form collection dates are October 26th  and November 2nd. Thank you!

Today’s lunch is General Tso’s chicken.

Have a great day everyone!
