Hey Vikings! The library is now open to students during lunch! During your 15-minute recess time, you can come to the library to relax, hang out, and check out books! Due to social distancing guidelines, the library will be limited to 40 students. Once this limit is met, the library doors will be closed and additional students will be directed to go outside to the designated area. In the library, seating will be limited to 3 students per table; students must maintain 3 feet of social distancing; and masks must be worn at all times. The library is a quiet place to relax, study, check out books, and read. It is not a place to eat your lunch or snacks. Thank you for your cooperation and see you soon!
Get ready for a Hispanic Heritage month fact! Did you know George Sanchez is known as the “Father of Chicano Psychology” and was the first Chicano to write about issues of Mexican American wellbeing in the realm of psychology and mental health? He was a leader in the early Chicana/Chicano movement and spearheaded several landmark civil rights aimed court cases focusing on equal educational opportunities for Chicana/Chicanos and opposing the use of racially-biased standardized tests based on non-proficiency in English. #wellnessisourheritage
Are you interested in learning about important world issues? Do you like thinking ahead and solving problems? If so, the Future Problem Solving club is for you! We meet every Wednesday morning in the Commons from 7:15 to 8:15 AM and compete on three Thursday afternoons throughout the year. Be sure to come to our registration info meeting on Wednesday, September 22nd from 7:15 to 8:15 AM. You must attend this meeting in order to register for the club.
