Today is Thursday, October 28th.

Stand for the pledge of allegiance Vikings (wait 3 seconds)

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. (wait 3 seconds)

We pause to acknowledge that Odle Middle School resides on the traditional and occupied land of the Coast Salish Peoples – past, present, and future. We honor their connection to the region, pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present, and stand in solidarity through their struggles.

Today’s spirit day is Viking Spirit! The last spirit day is tomorrow, costume day. If you plan to wear a costume, it must promote a fun and safe school environment. The following types of outfits are not allowed:

  • States or implies intimidation, discrimination, or ridicule based on a legally protected status such as race or gender
  • Displays words, pictures, or references to profanity, alcohol or marijuana, tobacco, illegal drugs, weapons, or sexual innuendo
  • Displays words, pictures, or references that create an atmosphere in which a student, staff, or other person’s well-being is affected by undue pressure, behavior, intimidation, overt gesture, threat of violence, gang membership or affiliation.
  • This includes not bringing any props that promote violence, drug use, or other school inappropriate behaviors.

Thank you for respecting these rules and keeping this spirit day safe and fun.

Students, every year there is a $10 fee placed on your account. This fee helps fund ASB events, like 8th grade promotion and school dances, and supports ASB clubs. There may be other fees on your account, so please visit TouchBase. The link to TouchBase is on the Odle website.

Students— The library will be closed today during all three lunches.

Fiber Club meets during Activity Time – 3:55 – 4:40 today in Room 219 (Mr. Scott’s room, again, he’s that bald science teacher). Everyone is welcome, even if you’re in House Slytherin. No experience necessary! Materials and supplies available, or bring your own.

Odle PTSA Presents “Fall Funfest” TODAY October 28 from 5:30-7pm outside on Odle Campus.  Dress in costume and hang out with your friends and fiends! Masks are required for this outdoor social event. PTSA brings the candy – you bring the fun! Take pictures in our photo area and listen to some spoooooooky Halloween music. Monster Mash or Thriller anyone?  See you there!

Today’s lunch is chef’s choice.

Have a great day everyone!

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
