Today is Friday, January 21st.

Stand for the pledge of allegiance Vikings (wait 3 seconds)

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. (wait 3 seconds)

We pause to acknowledge that Odle Middle School resides on the traditional and occupied land of the Coast Salish Peoples – past, present, and future. We honor their connection to the region, pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present, and stand in solidarity through their struggles.

The end of first semester is ONE WEEK AWAY. Don’t wait until the last minute to turn in missing assignments. Show initiative by checking Synergy to see what you’re missing, check your teacher’s syllabus to remind yourself of their grading policies, and get those missing assignments turned in.

Attention 8th grade students. Office assistant applications are due TODAY, January 21st. Any questions please see Mrs. Carroll.

Attention students!  Being on time for class is an Odle expectation. Starting this week there will be some changes in the way unexcused tardies are addressed.

  • Students with 10 unexcused tardies will have a conference with our Miss Gayle, our Behavior Support Specialist.
  • Students with 15 unexcused tardies will stay after school on Wednesday for a workshop about being on time.
  • Students with 20 unexcused tardies will have a conference with their parent and an administrator.

Being on time to class helps ensure a positive learning environment for all students. Thank you for being responsible and getting to your classes before the final bell.

Vikings, please help us keep Odle safe. All students should enter through the main doors or the doors by the gym. Keep all other doors closed to prevent visitors from entering the building. Do not open the side doors to other students to visitors.

Also, remember to always keep 6 feet of distance at lunch. Keep your masks in place and only eat in designated lunch spaces. Pull your mask up between bites of food and drinking. Wash your hands after eating. Thank you for keeping yourself and your community healthy.

Students – so far this year you have earned a total of 8,661 OARRS! Way to go! Thanks for putting your first AND last name on your OARRS. It is also extremely helpful when we can read your handwriting clearly. The current prize options are: a free pizza voucher, a fidget spinner, passing period song choice, and light up shutter glasses! Keep being respectful, responsible, and safe!

Today’s lunch is fajitas with beans and rice.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
