We pause to acknowledge that Odle Middle School resides on the traditional and occupied land of the Coast Salish Peoples – past, present, and future. We honor their connection to the region, pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present, and stand in solidarity through their struggles.
Fiber Club will be having their last meeting on Thursday in room 219 during activity time. We hope to see you there!
The Odle Concert Band and Academy Band competed this past Saturday at the Music in the Parks Band Festival in Tacoma. A few notes about end-of-year business….
- The due date for library books was June 7th, and the fines for overdue books have been posted on student accounts. Updated lists have been posted in the commons, and will be updated again on Thursday, June 16th. Keep checking to make sure your student number hasn’t been added to the list. - The lost and found will be emptied and donated to charity after June 21st. Make sure you check for any items that may belong to you. Clothing and large items are under the stairs, in the commons. Small items like cell phones, keys, glasses, jewelry are in the office.

June is LGBTQIA+ Pride Month! Karl Heinrich Ulrichs was a German civil servant in the 1850s before he was forced to resign because of his sexual orientation. He petitioned the German government in 1867 to get rid of the homophobic laws in place, and he was one of the first people to actively speak out for gay rights.
At the end of this school year we will collect your laptop so that we can update it with the latest software. Make sure you bring your laptop to school on June 16th and 17th. You will keep your bag, charger, and stylus over the summer and use them next year. Please remember to backup everything on your computer to your OneDrive or you will lose it over the summer.
Congratulations to our spectacular office manager, Mrs. Thornton, for earning the award of Educational Office Professional of the Year by BAEOP (Bellevue Association of Educational Office Professionals). The awards committee members were impressed with the nomination submitted by Miss Gayle in recognition of her fantastic work here at Odle Middle School! Please be sure to congratulate Mrs. Thornton the next time you see her.
Today’s lunch is a barbecue pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and coleslaw.
Have a great day everyone!
