Stand for the pledge of allegiance Vikings (wait 3 seconds)

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. (wait 3 seconds)

We pause to acknowledge that Odle Middle School resides on the traditional and occupied land of the Coast Salish Peoples – past, present, and future. We honor their connection to the region, pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present, and stand in solidarity through their struggles.

Join Rainbow Club! We meet every Friday at 3:50pm in room 119. It’s a safe space for LGBTQ+ students, friends, and allies to meet awesome people, talk, and have fun. Come join us or just stop by to say hi!

Preorder an Odle yearbook from November 7th  thru November 20th. Odle yearbooks cost $25 and can be purchased online via the district pay portal OR in the front office.

Vikings, many of you need to be reminded that the hallways are NOT to be used during your assigned lunch.

Oh, Vikings, how can you make sure you know where your personal belongings are, that they are safe & secure? By using your own assigned locker! If you have forgotten which locker is yours &/or your combination, you can look this up in Student Vue. If you are needing more support in learning how to use your locker, please contact Miss Gayle or another staff person you trust.

Did you know that several other countries also celebrate Veterans’ Day? However, in Canada, Australia, France, and Belgium it is called Remembrance Day instead of Veterans Day. The United Kingdom and other Commonwealth countries observe Remembrance Sunday on the second Sunday of November instead of the 11th. Remember, there is no school tomorrow in honor of Veterans Day!

Students! You have earned over 3,867 OARRS as a whole school. Way to go! Please remember to write your first and FULL last name on your OARRS. Prizes are only given to names drawn that have their full last name written. The current prizes are: passing period song choice, a hands-free drone, and another special prize of Xbox headphones! Keep being respectful, responsible and safe!

Tomorrow is Veterans Day; originally known as Armistice Day. It is observed annually on November 11th, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with other holidays including Armistice Day and Remembrance anniversary of the end of the World War 1. Major hostilities of the World War 1 were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. At the urging of major US veterans organizations, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.

While Memorial Day honors those who have died while in military service, Veteran’s Day celebrates the service of all US military veterans. Many students have family members in the service and those who have retired from service.

Please thank a veterans for their service in the military this weekend. We recognize and honor those who have fought and served our great nation, the United States of America.

Today’s lunch is a nut-free turkey pesto sandwich with multigrain chips.

Have a great day everyone!

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
