Today is Friday, March 24th.

Stand for the pledge of allegiance, Vikings. (wait 3 seconds)

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. (wait 3 seconds)

We pause to acknowledge that Odle Middle School resides on the traditional and occupied land of the Coast Salish Peoples – past, present, and future. We honor their connection to the region, pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present, and stand in solidarity through their struggles.

Odle’s National Junior Honor Society Candidate Forms are due today at 4pm. You can turn in your form to Mrs. Black in room 233 or drop it off in the Main Office. Any questions? See Mrs. Black.

A new club has started at Odle. For all students interested in psychology, please join the Research Psychology club every Thursday in room 117 (Ms. Iliescu’s Room). We will explore fun psychological phenomena and help you understand the brain in a new way. If you have any questions, ask Mrs. Iliescu.

Do you have fines? More than half of Odle students do. Lists have been posted on the trophy case in the commons, and the class wall outside the library. If you see your student ID number on the list, you have fees or fines on your account. Payments can be made online or in the front office. Students with fines at the end of the year won’t be able to pick up their yearbook. If you still have fines when you go to high school, you won’t be allowed to attend Homecoming or compete in High School sports. Graduates with fines are not allowed to participate in graduation or pick up their diploma. Let us help you clear your account now, and come see the front office if you have questions.

Hey Vikings! Your ASB is restarting the episodes of video Odle news, which used to be called This Week At Odle, but is now being redone and called Viking Talk! One of our many segments will be an advice piece. It is going to be called Asking For A Friend, and in this segment, we will be answering questions and giving advice to you about anything, just drop your question in our red box next to the OARRS boxes! Thank you so much, and we hope this helps you with your middle school experience!

Hey students! You have earned over 8,566 OARRS as a school, that’s incredible!! Please remember to write your full last name on your OARRS, otherwise they will get discarded from the prize drawing. The current prize options are: passing period song choice, five minutes early to lunch, and a dance party in Miss Gayle’s room during lunch with your friends! Keep being respectful, responsible, and safe!

And now for an update on our football team! The 7th and 8th graders played their first playoff game against Tyee on Wednesday and won!! Their next playoff game is next week against Highland. Cheer on our football team players!! Go Vikings!

Today’s clubs are Coding Club in room in 251, Rainbow Club in room 119, and Math Club in rooms 115, 117, and 223.

Today’s lunch is an impossible burger with baked fries and slam dunk sauce in honor of the March Madness college basketball tournaments!

Have a great day!

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
