We learn and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.

Hey 8th graders, the 8th Grade Cruise is June 21st! Turn in permission slips by May 26 to the office. Starting this past Monday until June 21st, students can come on the cruise if they have not been assigned in-school or out-of-school suspension, are not excessively absent, skipping class, or have more than 14 unexcused tardies, or are not getting excessive behavior referrals to school administration. Two Mondays ago 8th graders had 47 unexcused tardies, and two days ago 8th graders had 26. That’s a reduction in tardies by 44%! Let’s continue to be on our best behavior so that you can come on the cruise!

Hey 6th and 7th graders!  Are you interested in being an ASB officer for the 2023-2024 school year?  Descriptions of each office are in the ASB channel in the Odle Students team.  There are three parts to becoming an officer: The application and teacher recommendations, an interview with the ASB staff advisors, and finally, the school wide campaign.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Warehime in room 149 before or after school to get an application packet beginning Monday, May 1st. All applications are due to Mrs. Warehime on Monday May 8  by 3:50. Late applications will not be considered.

Vikings, the hallways are closed to you during your lunch period. Please stay in the commons & outdoor supervised areas. Yet another reminder to use the nearest bathroom to your class when you have a hall pass, Vikings! If you are misusing your hall pass, you may lose your hall pass privilege for that class.

Hi Odle NJHS Member, your first NJHS chapter service project starts May 1st and runs through the month of May.  Mrs. Black sent an informational email to members on Monday, April 24th. Any questions? See Mrs. Black.

May is Jewish American Heritage Month! Born on September 30, 1928, Elie Wiesel was a Holocaust survivor, award-winning novelist, journalist, human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize recipient. In June of 1944, Wiesel and his family were sent to Auschwitz. In 1945, Wiesel was liberated. He told stories of the horrors of the Holocaust and depicted his struggle with faith. In 1993, Wiesel spoke at the dedication of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.
