Today is Wednesday, September 13th.

Please stand for the pledge of allegiance, Vikings. (wait 4 seconds)

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. (wait 3 seconds)

We learn and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.

Are you in 6th grade or new to Odle and didn’t get your laptop yet? Go see Mr. Healy in the Main Office at Lunch this week and he will make sure you get one.

Say “Cheese!” Picture day is next Monday! Make sure you get your beauty sleep on Sunday night and dress for success when you come to school the next day! Information about how to order has been sent out to your parents. Come see the office if you have any questions.

Fiber Club begins on this Thursday, September 14. Come to room 119 at 3:50. Learn how to knit, crochet, embroider, and other fiber crafts. Bring your own project or start a project here. We have yarn and tools to share. ALL students, all abilities, are welcome.

Attention 8th grade students. Do you think you would be a great office assistant?  Well, there are a few open periods to fill first and second semester. Please pick up Office Assistant application in the main office to be considered for this position. See Ms. Carroll with any questions.

Tutorials, study zone, Jubilee, clubs, activities, & the activity bus start this week, every day EXCEPT Wednesdays! Those students not attending tutorial & activity time are to exit the building at 3:20 p.m.— no re-entry. You MUST be in a supervised area by 3:25 p.m.— in your teacher’s room, the library for study zone, OR in the upper gym for Jubilee. Choose ONE. You MUST attend one of these AND get your pass signed in order to attend clubs, sports, & activities afterwards! A pass with both sections signed is required to ride the activity bus. Staying after school & riding the activity bus is a privilege! Please contact Miss Gayle with any questions.

Want to design the Odle 2023-2024 Yearbook? To get more information, stop by Mrs. Black’s room 233 and pick up a yearbook staff form which is due by TODAY at 2:20pm.

Attention all students! The Odle Green Team is returning, and we are looking for new members. If you’re interested, please join us at our introductory meeting on Monday, September 18th, in Room 119 during activity time, 4:00 to 4:40. More information will be provided there.

Are you an Odle student who identifies as Italian-American and would like to share your Italian heritage with your peers? Sign up to speak in Odle’s digital newsletter, Viking Talk for October! Please contact Nasya Sudarman at s-sudarmann@bsd405.org .

Vikings, did you know that you have to re-apply for the free & reduced price meal/fee waiver program EVERY school year? Please have your guardians complete the form on the BSD website. If you have questions or need support, please contact Miss Gayle or Ms. Sanchez.

Ooh, speaking of food, did you know that Odle serves BREAKFAST right before school? YES, it’s true! There are a variety of delicious options to feed your mind & body.

Today’s lunch is macaroni and cheese with brussels sprouts and a wheat roll.

Have a great day, everyone!
