Attention incoming 6th grade families:

Please save the date for Odle’s annual 6th Grade WEB Orientation on Tuesday, August 27th from 8:45am-12:30pm!

Odle Middle School’s WEB sixth grade orientation and transition program is designed to both welcome and support sixth graders by assigning them eighth grade WEB leaders as mentors during this first year of middle school.  These WEB Leaders are responsible older students who were hand selected from a large pool of applicants and have met the qualifications of being a good role model and a positive leader on campus. On orientation day, your child will get the opportunity to participate in fun activities with other sixth graders and meet in a small group with their WEB leaders.

The following is some information that will help your child be prepared for WEB Orientation:

  1. A few days before orientation your child will receive a phone call from his or her WEB leader personally inviting your student to orientation day.
  2. Your child is encouraged not to bring backpacks, purses or other like items as the day is quite active.
  3. Because the day is active, please make sure that your child wears comfortable clothing and shoes that do not restrict movement.

WEB Orientation is for 6th grade students only.  On Tuesday, August 27th parents should drop their students off at the Odle gym by 8:45 AM.  Orientation ends at 12:30 PM.

Due to the nature of the WEB program, there will only be one orientation day.  If your child is not able to attend the WEB orientation, your child will get to meet his/her WEB Leaders during various WEB activities and events that are held throughout the school year.
