Today is Tuesday, May 28th.

Please stand for the pledge of allegiance, Vikings. (wait 4 seconds)

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. (wait 3 seconds)

We learn and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.

Attention all students. Batteries of all kinds should not be thrown away due to the risk of battery fires. There is a battery box for all battery drop-offs located in the front office. The Odle Green Team needs you to help us with this. We are collecting dead batteries of any kind.  Bring any dead and non-rechargeable batteries from home or from school. All batteries dropped off will be taken to a recycling facility to reduce the risk of battery fires.

Calling all artists! We have one more Contest to wrap up the year. WE NEED A NEW VIKING DESIGN, for next year’s spirit wear. If you would like us to feature your art on year’s staff shirts, please stop by the office to pick up an entry form. Return it by the end of school, Friday 5/31/24. Show us some Odle pride and get your entry in, right away!

On the week of June 10th we will collect laptops from all students so they can be updated over the summer. We will collect from 8th graders on June 10, 7th graders on June 11, and 6th graders on June 13. 8th graders bring your laptop, charger, and stylus to school on June 10th. 7th graders you only need your laptop, and 6th graders make sure your stylus is in your computer. Please remember to backup everything on your computer to your OneDrive or you will lose it over the summer.

All library books are due Friday next week on June 7th! If you don’t return your library books, there will be consequences! Fines will follow you into next year, meaning no dances, yearbooks, et cetera. If you have fines, pay them off in the office.

Do you want to be able to flex to your friends? Do you like eating chips? Come to room 245 on Tuesdays from 3:50 to 4:40 during activity time to learn about science. On June 4th and June 11th, the National Science Bowl club, or NSB club, is hosting a mock competition during activity time. Odle won 6th place at the official NSB competition!

Attention ALL National Junior Honor Society Members, it’s spring and that means that our chapter service project asks you to commit random acts of kindness at school and in your community. Kindness can be shown by helping others in little ways, saying kind things, and being a good listener and friend! Spread kindness this spring!

Attention current 7th grade students. Would you like to apply to be an office assistant. Well we would love to have you! Look for applications in the front office.

TOMORROW is Wellness Wednesday-the last 15 minutes of your lunch is a time to come up to the library to play games, color, visit with friends or just chill. Hope to see you up in the library after you eat lunch, no food allowed in the library!

Today’s clubs are Mock Trial in room 253, National Science Bowl in room 245, Psychology Club in room 207, and Art Club in room 233.

Today’s lunch is Italian meatballs and pasta.

Have a great day, everyone!
