Fall Planning Steering Committee
In June of 2020, Bellevue School District formed a Fall Planning Steering Committee. Its purpose is to engage a diverse set of voices as Bellevue School District prepares for a return to school in September of 2020. As with all school districts in Washington, in-person instruction was suspended in March of 2020 by order of the Governor Jay Inslee due to COVID-19, and Bellevue School District implemented remote learning for the remainder of the school year. Re-opening in the fall brings many instructional, facilities, social-emotional, engagement and communications considerations. The educator, student, parent and school leader representatives on the Fall Planning Steering Committee are charged with reviewing recommendations made by Bellevue School District’s implementation teams and providing feedback on them.
The committee will meet every other Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. between June 17, 2020 and August 2020 via Microsoft Teams. Meetings will be communicated to the public, and members of the public are welcome to observe.
