Location

  • College in the High School (CHS): At your high school
  • Advanced Placement (AP): At your high school

  • College in the High School (CHS): At your high school

High School Credit

  • College in the High School (CHS): 5 credits of CHS counts for 1.0 high school credit
  • Advanced Placement (AP): 1 class period = 1.0 high school
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): 1 class period = 1.0 high school
  • Running Start (RS): 5 credit Running Start counts for 1.0 high school credit
  • CTE Dual Credit: 0.5 credit for semester class and 1.0 credit for year-long classes. College credit is based on high school course, see full list here

Cost

  • College in the High School (CHS): Free
  • Advanced Placement (AP): $98 per exam with fee waivers for qualified students
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): $119 per exam with fee waivers for qualified students
  • Running Start (RS): No cost for course credits for classes numbered above 99 and up to 15 credits per quarter; students pay fees, books, and other course expenses.
  • CTE Dual Credit: $50 fee covers all high school CTE Dual Credit courses a student is enrolled in during a school year

Registration

  • College in the High School (CHS): Register with the college for the term of each class
  • Advanced Placement (AP): Register to take the AP exam online with high school in the fall
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Register to take an IB exam online with your high school in the fall
  • Running Start (RS): Register through the Running Start program at the partner college
  • CTE Dual Credit: Open enrollment between December 1 and June 15

College Credits

  • College in the High School (CHS): Earn college credits and a grade on a college transcript through the completion of high school courses
  • Advanced Placement (AP): Credits are determined by colleges based upon exam score
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Credits are determined by colleges based upon exam score
  • Running Start (RS): Earn college credits and a grade on a college transcript through the completion of college courses
  • CTE Dual Credit: Earn college credits for earning a “B” grade or above in the high school course


NOTE: Transferability of credits depends on the receiving college.
