Attendance Requirements for Students in the ‘Hybrid’ HS Summer School Program

Students are expected to attend class in-person each morning until all course requirements are completed. Students are also expected to work remotely each day in the afternoon on their own coursework. In addition to this individual afternoon remote work time, students are expected to attend individual and/or small group remote meeting times as scheduled between the student and teacher during the afternoon.

If you miss more than two in-person classes or individual/small group remote afternoon meetings in the first two weeks, you may be dropped from the program.

View session date and time information on our 2022 Summer Programs K-12 page.

Conduct

In order to assure that the summer program is safe and productive for everyone involved, students are held to the same standards of conduct as Bellevue students are during the school year.  Students violating appropriate behavior code will be referred to the principal for discipline, which may range from an administrative conference up to and including expulsion from the summer school program.

Because we want every student to have a positive experience, we strive to work out any potential concerns with the student and the parent before withdrawing any student from the program.  However, we reserve the right to remove a student from summer school if their behavior is severely disruptive or creates a safety hazard.  If this occurs, refunds for programs with tuition will not be provided.  Students and staff are expected to meet these expectations:

  • Show respect for yourself, your peers, and your surroundings.
  • Be to your in-person classes and remote meetings on time, and ready to learn.
  • Behave in a safe and appropriate manner.
The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
