Word of the Day

This week’s words relate to our current rainy weather

Drizzle – light rain falling in very fine drops.

Lost and Found Items – Policy Change

Beginning on Monday, January 14th, there will be a change to the retention period for lost and found items in the main office. When an item is turned into the lost and found, it will only be retained for 7 days, before being donated to a local charity. For electronics, money, and valuables found, these will be held by Ms. Healy, in the Accountant’s Office for 90 days; after the 90-day period, these too will be donated.

Any lost/found or dropped off lunch sacks, water bottles, and food will only be retained for 24 hours. If the item was dropped off by a parent and you did not come to collect it, the office will send a TA to you, the next day. If you are not here, when the TA attempts contact, or you do not come to collect it, the contents will be thrown away and, if reusable, your lunch sack/water bottle will be held for 7 days, before donation.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
