It is strongly recommended that every participant, as well as parent or guardian, research the organization thoroughly, before participating, to be certain it is an appropriate fit.

Transportation You will be hosting its first Women’s Transportation Seminar of this school year – Why Careers in Construction are Awesome – at SHS, during both lunches on Tuesday, February 25th, in the SHS College & Career Center. All grades are encouraged to attend. Lunch will be served.

“Why Careers in Construction are Awesome”

Have you ever seen a construction project in your town being built?  Have you ever wondered how they build tunnels or bridges over water?  If you’d like to be a part of something like that, come see a presentation about future careers in construction.  We’ll take a look at construction from the builders on up to the managers.

Please contact Ms. Scott in the College & Career Center with any questions. An RSVP is not required.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Phantom Lake Needs Volunteers

Phantom Lake is hosting a Science Fair on Thursday, April 2nd from 5:30- 8:00 PM. They are looking for 11 Students to help. If interested contact Carrie Lascano @ carrielascano@gmail.com;

Spiritridge Elementary has two big events coming up – Need Volunteers!

On April 5th we have our 50th Anniversary celebration. We would love to have a slide show presentation. We need photos from the year book scanned. I imagine it will take 2-3 hours of photo scanning at your convenience.

We also need some data entry volunteers. I have a number of names that need to be entered into our new database so we can send out the invites. This can also be done on your own time-I imagine it will take 3-4 hours.

We are looking for volunteers to help set up the event. This will be just setting up tables and decorating. Only about an hour of your time.

On June 12th, We have our annual school Carnival which is a anticipated event of the year. We are in the planning stages now and would love students who love to throw a family friendly party.  We need volunteers to help plan, set up and run this event.

Please email me or give me a call or text.
