FREE Summer Audiobook Program for Teens 2020

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens. Returning April 30, 2020, SYNC will give away two complete audiobooks  a week – pairs of high interest titles, based on weekly themes.


* IMPORTANT: SYNC is sponsored by AudioFile Magazine and titles are delivered through Sora, the student reading app from OverDrive. In advance of accessing the program, download the app from Apple or Google, to the device you anticipate listening on and be ready to go!

What Is SYNC?

  • SYNC is an audiobook literacy
    program for teens 13+.
  • SYNC introduces the audiobook
    experience to the teen audience
  • Two FREE audiobook downloads are
    available each week
  • SYNC engages summer reading
    programs in libraries and schools
  • SYNC introduces a variety of audiobook experiences to teens to demonstrate that reading can be completed by listening.
  • Program runs from April 30 – July 29, 2020
How Does It Work?

  • REGISTER for SYNC 2020 and follow the instructions:
  • Sign into your Sora app BSD library, then add “AudioSync” to your public library list from the upper right menu.
  • Select available audiobooks
  • Sign up for alerts for the next titles
  • Titles are accessible in  Sora, the student reading app from OverDrive, and are Mac and Windows compatible.
  • Most listening devices are supported.
  • NOTE: Each SYNC audiobook will be available to borrow into your SYNC library  for a period of 7 days (only).
  • Titles, once loaded into the app, are yours indefinitely.
