Robotics Annual Silent Auction: 

The Robototes 3rd Annual Silent Auction will be held Dec. 2nd – 4th this year.

Check out our Online Event starting Thursday Dec. 2nd @12:00pm and closing  Saturday, Dec. 4th @ 12:00p.m:

*Auction items may be picked up at the In-Person event or on Monday, Dec. 6 between 4:30 & 5pm in the SHS Atrium.

Participate in the In-Person Silent Auction on Saturday, Dec. 4th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm in the SHS Atrium for some special in-person-only items.

All funds raised will go towards supporting our 2021/22 Robot Build season.

Winter Break Opportunity:

Bright Horizons is looking for students, 16+ years old, to earn money while providing support and care for kids during a winter break camp. If you have an interest in working with kids and want to find something to do during winter break, here’s a bit more info for you (as well as the application):

Notes from the Librarian (Ms. Miller-

SHS Library News:

SHS Library closures this week: 

  • Tuesday, Nov. 30th:  The MAIN presentation area of the library (north end) will be closed for periods 1-4. (Students with open periods, running start schedules, travel periods, or have a pass from class should plan to sign in and be seated away from any meetings/events.)
  • Wednesday, Dec. 1st:
    • the ENTIRE library will be FULLY CLOSED before school through 2nd period (7:30-9:30AM) for various meetings & classes
    • then ENTIRE library will be FULLY CLOSED after school at 1:00PM for a staff training.
  • Thursday, Dec. 2nd: The ENTIRE library will be FULLY CLOSED before school (7:30-8:00AM) for a staff training

Do you eat lunch in the library? If so, do your part to wipe down your area, throw away any trash AND push in your chairs before leaving the library. We have many classes and events in the library, so it’s important to keep the library clean! Remember to stay at least 3 ft. apart AND to wear your mask when you are finished eating & drinking. If you are not following these expectations, or maximum seating capacity has been reached, then you will be asked to leave. Thanks for your help!

Overdue library books: Please check your messages for any overdue notices from Mrs. Miller. Once a book is overdue, a replacement fine is assessed to your account. Whenever a book is returned or renewed, then the associated fine is deleted from your account. Return your library books in a timely fashion & without any damage, so that other students and staff may also enjoy these books!

November is Native American Heritage Month: Visit our school library to learn more about Native American culture, religion, literature, art and so much more!

Seniors, your Senior photo upload was due 11/28/21.  If you missed the deadline and still want to submit a photo, contact Mrs. Healy ASAP!!

Senior Grad Ads are available to purchase on the Balfour website.  Space must be reserved by 1/9 and submitted by 1/14.

It’s easy to purchase and create your Ad online:

  1. Visit and search for Sammamish High School.
  2. Shop Yearbook products and purchase the ad size you want.
  3. Create an account on
  4. Look for an email within 1 business day confirming your Ad Workspace is available.
  5. Log into your account and look under My Orders to design your ad.
  6. When you’re ready, choose Submit Your Ad to send it to the yearbook.

Have you pre-ordered your yearbook yet?  Yearbooks are on sale again from 11/29/21 to 1/28/22 for $50.00.

Yearbook needs your photos!  We are working on creating Class Collages to include in the yearbook.  You all have powerful cameras right in your phones and are the best photographers for this project.  I’m looking for candid photos of you and your friends at school or at school activities.  Pictures for each class should only include students from that class.  Please email them to, put your class in the subject line, and note who is in the picture.

The Class that submits the most photos will earn extra spirit points during the Winter Spirit week so start sending them in now!
