Spring Sports is STARTING February 28th! Boys Soccer, Girls Fastpitch, Boys Baseball, Track & Field, Girls Badminton, Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, Girls Water Polo, and Boys & Girls LAX. Get your physical in if needed. They are valid for 2 years. Must be signed by a physician. If you need a physical form, please see Ms. Tomlinson or download this link: sports-medical-history-physical-exam.pdf. All sports need IMPACT testing except: Badminton, Golf, Tennis and Track & Field.

Leadership Announcement:

Redhawks, Today February 2^nd Leadership will hold our second monthly student body meeting. It will take place in the atrium on the first floor (by the main stairs) from 1:00-1:30 after school. We have a great agenda that will allow us to share information and gather input from you. Hope to see you all there to hear your voices!

Sophomores and Juniors!

Are you a sophomore or junior interested in Running Start next fall? Aren’t sure what that really means or where to begin? Come to our Running Start Information Session. This will be hosted through a Teams Event on Wednesday, February 16^th, at 1:30. A representative from the Bellevue College Running Start Office will join us to give information and answer questions. Fundraiser with LGBTQ+ ALLIES Club:

SHS LGBTQ+ALLIES Club is having an art sale on Thursday 2/3 and Friday 2/4. Featuring prints from SHS artists: Samantha Owens, Olivia Chin, Maggie Sutton, Margot (said as margo) Deburin, and Chase Dooley. We have prints, bracelets and cat ears. The Sale will take place in the lunchroom during both lunches.

Congratulations to Solo/Ensemble Choir:

Eastshore Vocal Solo/Ensemble Contest– A hearty CONGRATULATIONS to the members of the SHS Choir Program that competed at the regional Solo/Ensemble music contest this past Saturday! Students prepared pieces of music to perform for judges throughout the day at Bellevue Christian School. Of the 6 ensemble categories schools can compete in, SHS qualified for State (1^st place) in 4!! They also placed 3^rd in a 5th category, putting SHS top 3 in the region for 5 of the 6 vocal ensemble categories!!

Congrats also to David Nicolle and Sophie England for placing top 3 in their vocal solo categories!!

Congrats to the competitors at regional contest this past weekend!! State qualifiers will go on to compete and represent our school and region at the State contest on Friday, April 29^th, at Central Washington University!!

Key Club Clothing Drive:

Redhawks, do you have extra clothing you don’t wear anymore, or clothes you have outgrown? Key Club will be running a clothing drive for Jubilee Reach from Monday, January 31^st to Friday, February 4^th. Items should be new or gently used – winter clothes like jackets, warm socks, and gloves are most needed. We will have a table for donations by the office every morning from 7:30-8am and after school on Wednesday between 12:50 and 1:20pm.

PTSA Fundraiser for Class of 2023:

MOD it up with Class of 2023

This Thursday (2/3) all day go to MOD Pizza (14309 NE 20th St.) to get some awesome pizza with your friends! 20% of your purchase will be donated to the Class of 2023 PTSA to support grad night. Interested in going to BC in the fall? Bellevue College is hosting a registration event in the library on Wednesday, February 2^nd from 1-2pm.
Hispanic College Foundation is offering a free bilingual virtual College 101 event on Feb. 5^th. Registration is required.
BSD 2022 Virtual College Conference is on Wednesday, Feb. 9^th from 6-8pm. Registration is not required to attend.
Want to earn volunteer hours? Wheel Lab is seeking help with bike rebuilds, sales & event coordinating. No previous skills required.
