Beginning Strings Club meets on Wednesdays 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Room 173.
Advisor:  Mr. Klock

Beginning strings is a club for students who would like to learn how to play a stringed instrument (violin, viola, cello, and string bass) for the first time, or for the first time in a long time.  This is a group for students who have never played before and are looking for a low-stress place to learn for the sake of learning.  It is also for students who started playing an instrument, but for some reason stopped.  Students will receive instruction on their specific instrument, both from SHS’s orchestra director and from more advanced orchestra students.  We will play as a whole group, and at times, as smaller groups (only the violins, or only the basses, for example).  There is no need to audition, and no need to even own an instrument; just come join us!
