Due to low demand for PCR testing and the widespread availability of testing in the community, BSD has closed its Drive Thru Diagnostic Testing site.

Please see below for information on COVID-19 testing in BSD and the surrounding community.

Free COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits for BSD Students and Staff

BSD will be distributing free COVID-19 at-home rapid test kits to students and staff who would like to test before returning to school. COVID-19 testing allows people to take precautions in a timely manner to help prevent the virus from spreading. Tests will be distributed from ESC West, Room 100 at the following times:

  • Monday 8/29: 1:00 pm -4:00 pm
  • Tuesday 8/30: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
  • Wednesday 8/31: 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Please note, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved an extended shelf-life for many At-Home/Over the Counter COVID-19 tests. Information on shelf-life extensions can be found here.

Where to get tested

A list of testing sites in King County is available through Public Health Seattle & King County.

In Bellevue, PCR testing is available at Bellevue College 1B Parking Lot, 3000 Landerholm Cir SE, Bellevue, WA 98007. This site is operated by UW Medicine and additional information, including how to schedule a test, can be found here

Order free rapid tests

To support access to COVID-19 testing, the federal government is providing up to four (4) rapid antigen tests to each household, starting in late January. Order your household’s tests at COVIDtests.gov.

In addition. Washington State Department of Health has a website where you can request free, rapid, at-home COVID-19 test kits to residents of eligible communities. Sign up through Say Yes! COVID Test.

Important: Students and employees who have symptoms who complete diagnostic tests MUST NOT go back to school or work after their test. They should wait until results are returned. Learn more on when to return to school on our Symptoms and Exposure webpage.

Please contact COVIDTesting@bsd405.org for any questions around COVID-19 testing.
