¡No podemos creer que ya es diciembre y las vacaciones de invierno están aquí! Gracias por asociarse con nosotros para apoyar a nuestros increíbles estudiantes Superstar durante estos últimos meses de clases. Vamos a extrañar mucho a sus hijos durante las próximas semanas. Esta época del año trae tanta alegría y reflexión. Muchos días festivos y festivales giran en torno a la luz. Realmente sentimos que sus hijos, todas y cada una de las superestrellas, traen luz a nuestras vidas y nuestra escuela. También estamos muy orgullosos de representar tantas culturas y celebraciones diversas durante esta temporada de luz. Thank you for partnering with us in supporting our amazing Superstar students over these past few months of school. We are going to miss your children so much over the next few weeks. This time of year brings so much joy and reflection. So many holidays and festivals revolve around light. We truly feel that your children, each and every superstar, brings light to our lives and our school. We are also so proud to represent so many diverse cultures and celebrations during this season of light. Esta sesión está destinada a las familias que tendrán hijos que ingresarán al jardín de infantes el próximo año. ¡Por favor corra la voz sobre la Sesión de Información de Kindergarten de Stevenson! Esta sesión se realizará el martes 10 de enero de 2023 de 8:15 a 9:15 a. m. en la cafetería de Stevenson. ¡Las familias escucharán directamente de nuestro personal y administradores de Kindergarten sobre el proceso de registro e información general sobre lo que hace que Kindergarten en Stevenson sea único! This session is intended for families who will have children entering Kindergarten next year. Please spread the word about Stevenson’s Kindergarten Information Session! This session will be hosted on Tuesday, January 10th 2023 from 8:15-9:15am in Stevenson’s cafeteria. Families will hear directly from our Kindergarten staff and administrators about the process for registration and general information about what makes Kindergarten at Stevenson unique! Please share this information with those in your friends and neighbors in the community who have children entering Kindergarten next year (if they will be five years old by August 31st).

Reflexión de café MLL	MLL Coffee Reflection:
Tuvimos nuestro segundo café familiar MLL el lunes 5 de diciembre. Nuestro equipo de MLL compartió cómo usamos los activos de los estudiantes y aprovechamos el idioma y la cultura del hogar como un recurso valioso en la escuela. Las familias crearon ‘Can Dos’ para su hijo y dieron su opinión sobre cómo les gustaría que se usara su lengua materna y tradición/cultura para enseñar a leer y escribir. Las familias compartieron que les gustaría que sus hijos usaran el idioma de su hogar, para que no olviden ni pierdan su idioma. Los ‘Can Dos’ se han exhibido cerca de la entrada principal de nuestra escuela. Nuestro próximo café familiar de MLL será el 23 de enero y el equipo de MLL compartirá información cuando regresemos en enero.	We had our second MLL Family Coffee on Monday, December 5th. Our MLL team shared how we use student assets and leverage home language and culture as a valuable resource at school. Families created ‘Can Dos’ for their child and gave feedback about how they would like their home language and tradition/culture to be used to teach reading and writing. Families shared that they would like their child to use their home language, so they do not forget or lose their language. The ‘Can Dos’ have been displayed near the front entrance of our school. Our next MLL Family Coffee will be on January 23rd and the MLL team will share information when we come back in January.
COVID Test Distribution	COVID Test Distribution
Antes del las vacaciones de invierno, Stevenson enviará kits de prueba a casa con su estudiante. 	Open Transfer & Choice School Lottery Now Open
Tanto los períodos de solicitud de Open Transfer como Choice School/Program son: del 5 de diciembre de 2022 al 20 de enero de 2023. Asociaciones comunitarias Atletas Rainier buscan mentores voluntarios adultos Durante los últimos diez años, Rainier Athletes ha sido socio del Distrito Escolar de Bellevue. La misión de la organización se ha mantenido firme: utilizar el atletismo y la tutoría para dirigir a los estudiantes hacia un camino de logro y cerrar las brechas de oportunidades. Un estudiante participante en Rainier Athletes está emparejado con un mentor dedicado y totalmente patrocinado durante todo el año para participar en deportes, actividades extracurriculares y campamentos de verano.
