VIBES Mentor Profile: Josh Nelson
Josh Nelson and Sabrina Padilla have been meeting once a week at Sammamish High School for the past year and a half. Their focus has been helping Sabrina gain a better understanding of American literature and Social Studies, two of Josh’s favorite subjects.
VIBES Mentor Profile: Thomas Minter
Thomas Minter is a retired engineer from Boeing Air. Tom was interested in volunteering in the community near his home and wanted to do something with reading. “When I was in school, I was not the Eagle reader, I was probably the Slug reader. I had people who helped me out and I appreciated that. Reading is something you use your entire life. I wanted to help kids in whatever way I could, and I know that if you can read, you can learn.” Tom decided to support early literacy.

VIBES Mentor Profile: Nikesh Srivastava
Nikesh Srivastava works for Microsoft as a Program Manager on the Data & Analytics team. He joined the VIBES Mentor Tutor Program in January of 2015 to help secondary students in math. Srivastava chose VIBES because he wanted to be the mentor that he wished he had when he was in school.
