Black History Month – A Legacy of Excellence: In celebration of Black History Month we are spotlighting Eminent Scientist: George Washington Carver. George Washington Carver was a Black scientist and inventor famous for his work with the peanut. He developed 300 derivative products from peanuts, among them: cheese, milk, coffee, flour, ink, dyes, plastics, wood stains, soap, linoleum, medicinal oils and cosmetics.

Prearranged absence Form: Remember – if you will miss school for vacation, a family event, a tournament, or most reasons other than illness or appointments, you must submit a prearranged absence form before the absence.  Prearranged absence forms can be picked up at the attendance office or printed off from the link shared your Daily announcement email or from the School website.  If one is not turned in before the absence, your absence is unexcused.

Hi Tigers, thank you to the students that participated in Random Acts of Kindness week kick off yesterday at lunch with your counselors! Together we can change the world with small acts of kindness. There is no limit on the amount of goodness we can put into the world, and we need your help! There are kindness quotes and challenges posted throughout our school. Your school counselors will be at your lunches promoting Random Acts of Kindness week all week long with fun activities. Today we challenge you to try the “I’ve Got the Door” CharacterDare challenge. For 24 hours stop at each door that you get to and hold it for anyone coming behind you. At school before each class and in public places simply look behind you. People might look at you funny, but we need to make kindness normal again. This one small act might even make someone’s day better. After you try this challenge, stop by the Kindness table at lunch and tell your counselors about it.

Sprit Day is TOMORROW: Wednesday, February 14th! It’s Formal Day, we hope to see everyone dressed to the nines!

Hey Tiger, The Camp Tillicum wants to give a big thank you to those who have auditioned. Without your support, we would not have a production at all. The cast list will be posted outside the front office on Wednesday. Thank you all for helping make this dream into a reality. Sincerely, The Camp Tillicum Team.
