Calling all artists, this year’s Book Fair is coming soon and will be held at the Barnes and Noble in Issaquah on December 14th and online the following week. The PTSA is holding a  poster contest for our advertising campaign and we’d love your help to spread the word about the book fair supporting our library.  All poster entries will be displayed around the school and there will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Details about the contest are printed on flyers which can be found in the library or front office. Posters are due by November 22nd and winners will be selected the following week. Please see Mrs. Hecht with questions regarding the contest.

Attention all Makerspace students: If you have a completed project sitting on the Makerspace shelves, you need to take it home by FRIDAY or it will be recycled. If you are still working on a project that is sitting on the shelves, you need to put your name and date on before FRIDAY or it will be recycled. Any student project that is still on the shelves by Friday afternoon will be removed—no exceptions! Please come to the Makerspace ASAP to claim your projects!

Today is Kindness or what some may call it, “Mr. Rogers Day”. Today is a day where we promote kindness throughout the world. Studies show that when others observe kindness in action, they are more likely to carry out an act of kindness too. We all hold the potential to improve each other’s day by showing compassion and understanding. Be kind to one another, be kind to this place, and be kind to yourselves.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
