BSD: Close Contact Guidelines If your student is in CLOSE CONTACT with a COVID-positive individual and are fully vaccinated:

  • They do NOT need to quarantine. They may come to school.
  • They must self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days.
  • If they become symptomatic, follow section above on return after symptoms

If your student is in CLOSE CONTACT with a COVID-positive individual and they are NOT fully vaccinated:

  • They quarantine (stay home with no visitors) for 14-days.
    •  This is the safest option. If they are not able to quarantine for 14 days, quarantine for at least 10 days after exposure.
    • If they receive a negative test on day 5 or later after exposure and are not able to quarantine for 10-14 days, quarantine for at least 7 days after exposure.
    • If they must leave quarantine for any reason, make sure to wear a mask, distance from others, avoid crowded places, and stay away from people at high risk for serious illness.
BSD: COVID-19 Testing In the upcoming weeks, BSD will offer COVID-19 screening and diagnostic testing in schools. Doing so will allow us to more rapidly determine infections in our buildings and take a proactive approach to minimizing potential outbreaks. Testing will be optional, but highly encouraged as we work to keep our BSD community safe. District administration is currently in the process of finalizing the procedures, permission requirements for testing, and other details, which will be shared as they are available.  More information on diagnostic testing and screening testing can be found on our COVID-19 Testing in Bellevue School District webpage and will be updated as more details become available.  Please visit the district COVID-19 Health and Safety webpage for more information about our current health and safety measures.
GOODWILL FUNDRAISER OCT. 30th 2-5PM Time to clean out those closets!  There will be a Goodwill truck parked in the upper parking lot of Newport High School waiting to accept all your clothing, sports equipment, small household items, and anything else you no longer need.  Tell your friends, neighbors, and family!  They will make a donation to Newport choirs for your generosity.
