Tyee Celebrates National School Counseling Week! National School Counseling Week 2022 is February 7-11. Tyee celebrates this week to focus the unique contribution of school counselors and highlighting the tremendous impact they can have in helping students achieve school success, mental health, and overall wellness. A big thank you to our Tyee Counseling Team of Beth Hannibal, Michael Johnson, BobiJo Hatch, and Emily Cauter. Thank you, Tyee Counselors!  During the week we encourage students to say hello, or share a quick note of appreciation with their Counselors. There will be posters in the Cafeteria for students to sign, or they’re welcome to drop off a card in the Main Office or just send a brief thank you note over e-mail.

Tyee: Student Deliveries Tyee is observing a sharp increase in parents and caregivers attempting to drop off personal items for students.   Each morning, Please ensure your student brings their belongings, school supplies, and lunch when they leave for school.  Our teachers and staff offer grace when a student forgets an item just one day, and lunch is available for FREE in our cafeteria.  If you need to get a message to your student, such as reminders for appointments or rides, please e-mail [email protected].
Tyee: College & Career Exploration Note from Tyee School Counselors: Every year Tyee school counselors visit classrooms to guide students through lessons in Naviance. Naviance is a web-based program used in BSD schools for college and career exploration and planning. There is not yet an option for a separate parent login but ask your student to give you a tour of the site! (Students login through Clever). Learn more about your student’s strengths and interests under the Self Discovery tab. Start the college search together with the SuperMatch College Search. You can read more about Naviance on our district site: https://bsd405.org/about/initiatives/college/naviance/
BSD: Ballots are here! Remember to vote Tuesday! Remember to Vote, February 8 by 8pm. There are two important propositions for a levy renewal. Read more about them here: About BSD Levies. Find a ballot box here: Ballot box locations
