Tyee: Volunteer Basketball Coach needed! Spring Sports season is around the corner, beginning April 15-May 31. We are in need of an additional volunteer adult coach (age 21+) for Boys basketball, we have so many students that have signed up. Without enough coaches, we will have to limit participants!

If you or someone you know is interested, please e-mail our Jubilee Reach Coaches, Don Hirata & Mackenzie Eader: [email protected]; [email protected] for more details!

Tyee: Lost & Found Just a friendly note that students have items that have been found at the school.  They are available for students to pick-up at the lost and found table, during school hours.  The items are located on a table, inside of the front entrance lobby area,  right side; by the stairwell.  Please have your child check the lost and found by Thursday April 4, 2024.  After that, the remaining items will be donated.  Thank You!
Tyee: Spring Break & Pre-Arranged Absences We recognize some families may have made plans around Spring Break in April, so please see guidance below regarding BSD’s pre-arranged absence requirements:

Bellevue School District gives all students 5 pre-arranged absence days per school year.  These are excused and can be used for family events, travel, extracurricular events,  private school interviews, etc.  Please complete the pre-arranged absence form prior to the absence for it to be excused.   Students must get their teacher and parents signatures.  After they get all teacher signatures, your student will need to turn the completed form in, to the attendance office. This form should be submitted to the attendance office at least 3 days before the planned absence so we have time to process it.  You can find more information about pre-arranged absences on this page:  https://bsd405.org/tyee/report-an-absence/

Tyee: 8th Gr Career Day 4/19 Hey Tyee Families!  We are hoping to host a Career Day for 8th graders this year!  It will be on April 19th in the library and we are looking for parents/guardians, community members to come and share their career experiences to help our students learn about some of the many career pathways that exist.  Please reach out to Jaime Hoener [email protected] if you have any questions.
Tyee PTSA: Makers Market Event 4/26 On April 26th Tyee will hold our first Makers Market.  Students can register for tables to sell handmade items, or food or drinks they have created.  Each product should have at least 4 items or 4 ingredients the students have together to create their own unique product, unless it’s individually crafted, such as origami, crochet, face painting, caricatures, pottery, photography, braiding, etc.  There will be a rental fee of $30.00 (deducted from their sales) which will go towards Redecorating The Staff Lounge.  Each vendor will also choose a charity of their choice to donate a percentage of their sales.  We encourage students to hold tables in groups of 2 or 3.

Students can also showcase their talents on the Performance Stage during the Makers Market. You can play an instrument, sing, perform magic or juggle, a comedy routine – or other!  You can receive donations just like a busker at Pike Place Market. Each slot is 10 minutes long.  You can also have a vendor table at the event, just have someone to cover your table during that time.  Those playing musical instruments must be in groups of 2-4.

Students have been sent a Sign Up via Microsoft Teams.  Please have your students check their Teams to see the sign up for both the Student Table Sales and the Student Performances.

We are holding workshops for students to prepare them for the Makers Market.  They will be held in the library the last 15 minutes of each lunch in the library.

  • Friday, April 5th at 11:25am, 12:20pm and 1:15pm focusing on discussing profit and price point, as well as choosing a charity of each student’s choice, and specific planning for food and drink sales.
  • Friday, April 19th at 11:25am, 12:20pm and 1:15pm to discuss marketing and advertising the products around school.
Tyee PTSA: 7th Grade Carnival Planning Committee The PTSA is looking for parents to help plan the 7th Grade Carnival event May 31st from 6:30 – 8:00pm.  Most of the work is already done so time commitment is low, but the joy of helping in your student’s big event is high!  Please email:  [email protected].
