Tyee: 6th Grade Camp Pick-Up on 5/24 Friday, May 24: 12:45pm (approx.) Campers arrive back at Tyee. Pick up in Front of School, students MUST go home. No afternoon classes for 6th graders – everyone must depart! We will send a text message via Talking Points to all 6th grade families with the estimated time of arrival (about 90 mins prior).

 

Parking Directions:

  • Families should park in our front parking lot, or pick-up loop.
  • Once buses depart, we will allow families to park on both sides of the bus loop (along the baseball field).
Tyee: Lost & Found! Student lost and found items at Tyee Middle School – Just a friendly note that students have items that have been found at the school.  They are available for students to pick-up at the lost and found table, during school hours.  The items are located on a table, inside of the front entrance lobby area,  right side; by the stairwell.  Please have your child check the lost and found by Thursday May 23, 2024.  After that, the remaining items will be donated.  Thank You!
8th Gr: Interlake Athletics Freshman Night 5/23 Interlake HS is hosting incoming Freshman Night Thursday May 23rd at 6pm in the Interlake Gym. Incoming students will have the opportunity to learn about athletics and activities from members of the current student population and Athletic Department staff.
Tyee: Laptop Return Instructions 6/14 & 6/17 Due requirement to upgrade to Windows 11, we will be collecting student laptops for the summer.

  • Grade 6 will be required to turn in the laptop device with the stylus in the stylus bay, and  laptop case.  Students will keep their charger in a secure and safe place over summer.  Tyee will collect these from students during the school day on Friday, June 14. 
  • Grade 7 will be required to turn in the laptop device and laptop case. Students will keep their charger and stylus in a secure and safe place over summer. Tyee will collect these from 7th grade students during the school day on Friday, June 14. 
  • Grade 8 will be required to turn in the laptop devicechargerstylus, and laptop case.  Tyee will collect these from 8th grade students during the school day on Monday, June 17.

 

Note about Secondary Summer School & Devices: Students registered to BSD summer school may pick up a laptop for their program at Sammamish High School Library Monday, July 8th and Tuesday, July 9th – 8am to 3pm.

Join us for a night of awesome music, epic games, delicious food, and mind-blowing surprises. This is your chance to make unforgettable memories with your middle school friends and get excited about your future. Say goodbye to middle school and hello to new adventures! All 8th-grade students are invited to the promotion party for free on June 14th from 7-9 pm at Tyee School Commons and Gym. Registration for your 8th graders and parent permission are required to attend this event, which needs to be done online by Friday, June 7th, 2024. Only current Tyee 8th graders are allowed. No guests. Please update My Account if you don’t see your student’s name below. Contact event coordinator at [email protected].

Tyee: 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony 6/17 Tyee Middle School is proud to honor the 8th grade students and their families in the 2024 Promotion Ceremony on Monday, June 17th at 4:00pm in the Tyee Gymnasium. This year’s ceremony will feature inspiring messages from students, and performances from talented musicians and vocalists. Every student will be presented a certificate recognizing the successful completion of Middle School. Following the ceremony is an reception hosted by the PTSA in our Commons & Courtyard for photo opportunities with friends, family, and favorite teachers.

For extended family living across the world, the event will be recorded and available for viewing shortly after.

Date & Time: Monday, June 17th. Ceremony 4:00pm. Doors open 3:45pm. Please do not arrive earlier than 3:30pm, as 6th/7th grade students dismiss at 3:20, and there will be heavy vehicle and bus traffic leaving school. Following the ceremony is a PTSA reception beginning at roughly 5:15pm.

Tyee: Individual Health Plans (2024-25) For 2024-2025 individual health plans, please check your emails to review a copy of your student’s health plan for next year. If your student currently has an IHP or medication authorization, you will need it to be signed by the health care provider and turn it in between now and first day of school – September 3rd.
