A Note from the Administration

Chhoun Mey, Principal

Stephanie Mathias, Assistant Principal

Dear Wilburton Families and Parents,

For these past couple months a primary focus in school has been teaching our students to get along with their peers, playing safely with each other, and treating each other with kindness and respect. One way we teach this is through a Bullying Prevention Unit taught in each grade level. In the unit, students learn how to:

  • Recognize when bullying is happening
  • Report bullying to a caring adult
  • Refuse to let bullying happen to themselves or others
  • Be a bystander who stands up and is part of the solution to bullying

School staff are also specially trained in an effort to support a positive school and classroom climate.

Families, we also need your support in having consistent conversations with your student to ensure they have a trusted adult at school they can go to, to help them solve any potential problems they might have.

In partnership,

Chhoun Mey, Principal

Stephanie Mathias, Assistant Principal

Outdoor Lunch We are moving into the colder months in the PNW. If you have had your students eating outside or would like them to eat outside, they will continue to eat in our undercover area. Please have students bring thicker jackets to keep warm while eating outdoors.
COVID Mitigating Measure

One of our continued goals is to maintain health and safety as a top priority. One of our mitigating measures we are required to implement per WADOH is to make sure students who may not feel well or are sick to stay home and follow the correct quarantine and isolation requirements. If your student is staying home, please notify us by either calling or emailing.
