Dear Wilburton Families and Parents,

Memorial Day is a day to remember and honor those who have lost their lives in military service. Today we remember and honor all those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We hope all of our families and parents are having a safe and peaceful 3-day weekend.

Join BSD’s Special Education team for our Annual Proportionate Share Consultation meetings on May 26 and June 7 via Microsoft Teams. Each year, the Special Education team meets with representatives from private schools located in Bellevue to discuss how “Proportionate Share” funding will be spent the following school year.

This funding is allocated by the federal government and is used to support special education services for qualifying students who are unilaterally placed by their parent/guardian in a non-profit private school located in Bellevue.

2022-2023 Enrollment Now Open It is Time to Enroll New Students

New student enrollment (including incoming kindergarteners) for the 2022-2023 school year is now open at https://bsd405.org/schools/enrollment/. While you may enroll your students later, enrolling now helps the district ensure we have the correct staffing to support your students with the smallest classes possible.

If your student is already enrolled in a BSD school, you do not need to submit a new enrollment. They will automatically move up to the next grade.

Thank you.

Parent and Community K-7 Math Committee Bellevue School District is continuing to develop our collective vision for high-quality mathematics instruction. We are forming a committee of BSD educators, leaders and community members to continue the work that our K-7 colleagues started last spring. This work will lead us into a process to find the best curricular resources for Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2 that align with our vision for exceptional educational opportunities for students.

The committee will start work this spring to identify resources for pilot and/or experimental use during the 2022-2023 school year and make recommendations for full adoption in the 2023-2024 school year. You can learn more and express your interest in serving on the committee, go here.

You can learn more about the work happening across mathematics, P-12, in BSD on our website.
