Dear Wilburton Families and Parents,

As we get closer to the end of  the school year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on our year together and all that we have accomplished as a school community. This school year has presented some uniquely challenging elements for families, students, and staff. Navigating the conditions of a global pandemic while also attempting to provide public education has been one of the most challenging things in recent memory that many of us have had to work through.

I want to express my deepest thanks to our families who have continually partnered with us and supported the school community. I want to thank our students for being a constant sources of joy and motivation for all of us. To our incredible staff for their continued commitment, determination, and passion they bring to our community on daily basis.

We are the newest elementary school community in the district and although the pandemic has slowed us down, we continue to make visible strides in developing our school identity. We are determined and committed to be an inclusive community that honors and affirms students’ identities.

Please consider participating in their short, five-question survey for each school-aged child. The survey window has been extended to Wednesday, June 13.Complete the survey.

Nutrition Services Update Nutrition Services Updates 2022-2023

As we prepare for the reopening of school on September 1, 2022, families should anticipate that free meals will no longer be available for all students attending a BSD school. With the expiration of USDA waivers at the end of this school year, Nutrition Services will return to traditional methods of payment for school meals (free, reduced price or paid).

Look for the 2022-2023 application for school meal benefits online on the Free & Reduced Price Meals webpage by August 15, 2022.

New: Students determined to be eligible for reduced price school meals will be able to receive lunch for free. Due to new state funding, the $0.40 copay for a reduced price lunch will no longer be collected. Students eligible for reduced price school meals will continue to receive breakfast for free in schools that offer the program.
