A Note from the Administration

Dear Wilburton Families and Parents,
June is Pride month. It is a month that includes celebrations like parades, parties, workshops, and concerts. At Wilburton, we have taken a firm stance to be an inclusive school community and to advocate for historically marginalized communities – this includes our LGBTQA students, families, and staff. How do we affirm and support our student’s identities in the school environment? This has been a question that we have been asking ourselves throughout the year in our Building Professional Developments. The administration, teachers, and staff of the Bellevue School District are conscious of providing age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that meet all our students where they are when addressing equity and inclusion. As a district, during the month of June, and every month, we affirm members of our school community who may identify as members of the LGBTQIA community. Our goal is to work together as one community. We encourage you to reach out to us throughout the year if you have any questions or would like further information as we support our students. It was amazing to see so many of our families, students and staff our first Wilburton Carnival event this past Friday. Thank you so much to our staff and parents who supported the event by hosting a game or by leading the planning for the event.

2022-2023 Enrollment Now Open | It is Time to Enroll New Students
New student enrollment (including incoming kindergarteners) for the 2022-2023 school year is now open at https://bsd405.org/schools/enrollment/. While you may enroll your students later, enrolling now helps the district ensure we have the correct staffing to support your students with the smallest classes possible.
If your student is already enrolled in a BSD school, you do not need to submit a new enrollment. They will automatically move up to the next grade.
Thank you.
