Our new Parent Education Program had a great kick off this past month as about 45 parents gathered to learn more about the new child protection units that will be taught to all K-2 students this year.  The participants enjoyed hearing from Randi Peterson, BSD Curriculum Developer, as she shared a variety of parent resources for keeping our children safe and tools to support parents as they teach and reinforce a variety of topics related to child safety.  Please mark your calendar for this month’s topic which will focus on a variety of tools that parents might use to support social and emotional learning within your home.  Our presenters this month will be Wendy Powell, BSD Curriculum Developer, and our own Dr. Laurie Harvey, Clyde Hill Assistant Principal.  We hope to see you on November 18th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the school library.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
