Family Connections Centers
Affirming and Supporting All Families and Students
BSD Family Connections Centers are part of our welcoming school community focused on affirming and supporting all families and students. Located in elementary and secondary schools and staffed by Family Engagement Specialists, their mission is to contribute to student achievement by connecting families with district and community support services, providing them with educational opportunities to better navigate the school system and helping them become engaged in the education of their children.
Who We Serve
Family Connections Centers serve thousands of Bellevue families each year. While our locations are school-based, all BSD families are welcome to walk into any center throughout the district for support. We believe that the support and resources provided by our centers and specialists can benefit all BSD students and their families. We invite you to stop by a center near you. Family Connections Centers are open during school hours and when schools are is session.
Our COVID-19 Response
The Bellevue School District is committed to affirming and supporting all families and students. Our Family Connections Centers (FCCs) are open to all BSD students and families. Staffed by Family Engagement Specialists, their mission is to connect families with district and community support services, provide them with educational opportunities to better navigate the school system and help them become engaged in the education of their children.
During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Family Engagement Specialists are working diligently to provide families with essential resources, including food, clothing, hygiene products and other items families need to survive. Family Engagement Specialists are also assisting families with accessing community resources, including, but not limited to legal assistance, mental health support, rental assistance, emergency financial assistance and food assistance.
The Bellevue School District Family Connections Centers (FCCs) will be open for the summer (until August 31). Each site will be operational four days per week and days will be staggered in order to provide accessible sites Monday through Friday. FCCs will provide families with shelf-stable food to prepare at home and some fresh produce (depending on availability), as well as hygiene items as needed. Staff will also continue to provide families with information about resources and services available in Bellevue.
