Did you know? You can earn college credits for many high school courses. Bellevue School District offers students multiple ways to earn college credit through existing courses. Explore the four options of earning college credit below. These options can offer cost savings over typical tuition costs.

  • Dual Credit Options Comparison Guide for Families and Students
  • Advanced Placement (AP) – students stay enrolled in their high school; take courses with their high school teachers; students elect to take an exam in the spring designed by the College Board; colleges may use the scores to determine credit in content area, elective credit, course placement or course waiver. Learn more about AP dual credit options.
  • College in the High School (CHS) – students stay enrolled in their high school; take courses with their high school teachers; elect to have their high school grades applied to a college credited course; a reduced tuition is charged with some financial support for students in need. Learn more about CHS dual credit options.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) – students stay enrolled at Interlake High School; take courses with their high school teachers; students elect to take an exam in the spring developed by International Baccalaureate; colleges may use the scores to determine credit in content area, elective credit, course placement or course waiver. Learn more about IB dual credit options.
